My favorite place to get some cheap eats!

19 Jul

The Red Hot in Tacoma, WA on 6th Ave.

I went to The Red Hot with my friend Danaca and had a super good time!
Sittin & chittin & chattin. It’s a comfortable place to be that only serves beer and hot dogs (with full vegetarian & vegan options!) They’ve got a wide variety of dogs with a bite.
My personal favorite is the Ruston Raggin’ Cajun substituted with a veggie bratwurst. It’s got amazing rich bbq sause, chopped onions, sweet fresh coleslaw to top it all off, and their secret blended spice. So amazingly tasty!
Their hot dogs range in price from 4 to 5 bucks, I know I know, contain your enthusiasm! This is really the best place, and maybe the only place to get bites and booze that won’t break the bank.

It is a 21 and older place, but oooh so delicious!
On my 21st birthday (May 7th, 2012) my boyfriend Drew took me bar hopping, this was the first place we went, and needless to say I’m a regular.

Tasty Tuesday

17 Jul

Taste This!
(July 17th)
Tasty Tuesdays are weekly posts of food I’ve cooked or things I’ve baked during the week.

This is what I like to call The Breakfast of Champions.
I brought doughnuts, Starbucks, & a layered strawberry cake I made to my boyfriends house.
He doesn’t like cake, but this one changed his mind.
I used a box of Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic White Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Whipped Vanilla Frosting.
I added freshly puréed strawberries into the frosting and made three layers with the cake mix and different colors of food coloring.
If you’d like the full recipe feel free to ask!
So worth the calories. (;
